it was so cool to see the gospel weaved through the whole narrative of the bible！ the plan i used was super fast paced so I didn’t get to dig in deeply but i learned a ton about the OT and have a deeper understanding of the NT because of that。 it was also really cool to be able to clearly see repeated themes and topics back to back。

I read through the Bible every year and love this version with its study notes。 It speaks to me in new ways each day and I never cease to be amazed at the seamless continuity of the story of God’s love for humanity and plan of redemption from Genesis through Revelation。

They say that something like this could not be written now adays。 They’re right。The material is quite challenging， in its sometimes highly poetic form， in its disturbing content， and in its sheer volume。 Yea， the reader must be able to suspend disbelief or disgust at times and always look diligently for the underlying message。 Not to mention that reading this book correctly involves outside research。 There is vocab that must be learned， such as yea， alight， dandle， or host。 The reader must resea They say that something like this could not be written now adays。 They’re right。The material is quite challenging， in its sometimes highly poetic form， in its disturbing content， and in its sheer volume。 Yea， the reader must be able to suspend disbelief or disgust at times and always look diligently for the underlying message。 Not to mention that reading this book correctly involves outside research。 There is vocab that must be learned， such as yea， alight， dandle， or host。 The reader must research which philosophy/intepretation suites them to read the book。 And for the philosophy I picked， I additionally stopped to learn about ancient culture and read some of the hidden/secret books of the Bible called the “Apocrypha”。 As well as that I also would often delve into the original Hebrew and Greek sources to avoid translation bias。 ChatGPT helped a lot。 For what I wanted， a challenging book which proposed serious divine-based answers to life’s questions， it’s not bad。 。。。more

I enjoy reading from this particular volume。 The layout and typeset makes for easy reading and encourages reading in larger chunks。 Chapter numbers are noted， but individual verse numbering has been removed （the page header designates chapters/verses on the page）。
